What is the difference between isotropic and anisotropic ferrite blocks?

Isotropic blocks (e.g., C1 grade) can be magnetized in any direction after pressing, offering flexibility but lower energy product (~1.1 MGOe). Anisotropic blocks (e.g., Y30, Y35) are pressed in a magnetic field aligning grain orientation, delivering higher energy product (~3.5 MGOe) but only in the oriented direction.

Can you add mounting holes to ferrite blocks without cracking?

Yes. We use diamond-tipped drilling and countersinking after sintering. Hole diameter must be ≥2mm and positioned ≥3mm from any edge to prevent stress cracking. We recommend countersunk holes for flush bolt mounting.

What maximum pull force can a ferrite block magnet achieve?

Pull force depends on grade, dimensions, and contact surface. A typical Y30 block of 50×25×10mm produces approximately 3–4 kg pull force against mild steel. Higher grades (Y35, Y40) and larger contact area increase force proportionally.

Available in both isotropic (dry-pressed) and anisotropic (wet-pressed) versions, blocks can be ground to tight tolerances on all six faces.
